I went to Social Security yesterday and had my name legally changed. It was surprisingly quick. I was in and out in 10 minutes.
There was a little funny though.
On our marriage license, it has our names in the format Last First Middle. So the gal was humming along, updating things, and hands me the paper to verify the information and to sign.
She'd entered my name as Nichole Morgen Michael. She mistook Aaron's middle name for my new last name.
It was easily corrected, but it gave me a good chuckle.
