Newlyweds!

It's been about 2 weeks since we got married, and let me tell you - it's better than I ever imagined.

I thought after dating for almost 4 years that nothing would change after we were married. The wedding itself was a ton of fun without a lot of stress, but I didn't feel any different after the fact. I don't really feel that crazy weight I expected. Rather, I feel like our relationship has been re-energized.

There's no good rhyme or reason, but I feel like I love Aaron even more since the wedding. Maybe it's that I'm finally free to give every last sliver of my heart to him... that we both made the ultimate commitment to our relationship and our future.

Last week I went back to work, and I missed him like crazy. 4 years of this traveling thing and our routine is pretty set - but man, I MISSED him. I was so bummed that my flight was delayed!

It's frikkin awesome being married.

We Are Married!

I'm officially freaking out

My stomach is in knots and I'm all jumpy in my skin. I can't concentrate on anything. Thankfully time is moving quickly.

Aieeeeeeeee! 2 days until Vegas. 3 days until the wedding.

I hope I'm not this nervous on Saturday.

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night!

Last Saturday, Aaron had made reservations for us to go to this comedy club downtown. Or so I thought.

We get in the car and he hands me a blindfold and says "We're not really going to ComedySportz. Put this on."

We drive around for what seems like an eternity, and Aaron finally stops the car. It's extremely quiet. I'm getting a little nervous. He comes opens my door, helps me out of the car, and I'm suddenly accosted by a bunch of hands!


I'm pulled along and Aaron yells "Bye honey, I love you!"


Finally, someone pulls off the blindfold and I see! A bunch of my girlfriends are at Heather's house! It's a surprise "Hen Party"!


Heather hands me a dirty martini with BLEU CHEESE OLIVES. That's a good friend who remembers your favorite drink!!


We ate, drank, and talked for hours. I had a great time.

It's all coming together now

The fence people have a deposit and will start work on the new fence Monday. Should be done on Wednesday. We already got the check from the insurance company. Mad props to State Farm.

The dog sitters are confirmed.

I've done a trial run of my makeup.

The photographer has been paid.

I have a contingency plan for my contingency plan for next week's flights to Roanoke.

Just over a week now. HURRY UP! I can't wait any longer!!!

Like Woah.

We're getting married in 11 days. That's less than 2 weeks. Holy cow!

I got most of the remaining stuff out of the way over the weekend.

My dress is 90% finished and is SOOOOO ADORABLE. I LOVE it. Rachael is just making another small alteration then doing some "embellishing" and it will be ready to go. I totally feel like a princess wearing it. *SQUEE*

I got the pens for the guest book and also made some butoinierres for our guys. Rachael helped me wrap my flowers and I'll be putting a bow on this weekend. If I have time this weekend (and the hair clip I ordered arrives), I may make some corsages for the ladies. We shall see.

I don't think there is much else to do... other than get the heck out there and DO THIS THING! Woot!
